Clinically Studied Lions Mane Extract

Harvest
Our chaga is wild harvested in northern Finland, mainly in Lapland above arctic circle where demanding weather forge exceptional nature. Lions mane is native to Nordic but due to rarity we sustainably grow this mushroom in birch tree logs. We never use rice bran or inferior substrate material for growing.

Mycelium vs Fruiting Body
We use 100% fruiting body that is the nutrient dense part of mushroom. Mycelium is cheaper to produce and often becomes diluted with starch and grain. Grown on biomass is another cheaper diluted way to process.

Ultrasound Assisted Extraction
Highlight of our proprietary manufacturing is the ultrasound assisted extraction. Hot water extract is good for beta-glucans and relatively effective. But to receive maximum potency we need to focus on triterpenoids and polyphenols that are mainly responsible for functional benefits. Ultrasound extract breaks the hard chitin walls releasing these plant compounds in low heat controlled way. This is superior to any other method and yields exponentially more potent final product than regular mushroom powders.

Tincture or capsules
Our chaga comes in convenient tincture based on small amount of alcohol. This is to provide shelf stable product. Under the tongue for fast absorption or mix with coffee/juice/smoothie Lions mane available in tincture and capsules Our extraction method creates ultra potent products and the daily dosages reflect this and allow 5-8 weeks supply per one product

How does Nordic organic mushroom are compare?
We start with organically grown or wild mushrooms, not grown on rice or cellulose. With superior quality raw products, ultrasound extraction method is employed to break down chitin walls of mushroom making them bioavailable. From here we test quality of each batch before bottling.
Where are mushrooms from?
We use wild picked chaga from northern Finland and Turkey tail grown organically in Finland and Northern Europe. All our products are EU and USDA organic. We don’t source Chinese raw material ever.
Tincture or capsule?
Matter of preference. Capsules provide slightly more bio active compounds but tinctures can be very well absorbed. Powdered mushrooms are not very tasty thus we prefer tinctures or capsules.
Mushroom powders?
Powder without extraction has extremely poor bio availability. Always seek only extracted products. Especially Chaga is notoriously dense and hard to extract. We believe ultrasound is only correct way to achieve functional benefits of mushrooms.
What are the benefits?
Lions mane is traditionally used for mood, focus and memory Chaga has been centuries used for immune, gut health, skin benefits.
Generally beta glucans are thought to benefit mainly immune, and inflammatory pathways Mushroom specific triterpenoids, phenolic acids and polysaccharides contribute to each species unique health properties.
How often to use?
Mushrooms are generally good for daily use. We recommend a break every couple months for a week as our products are very potent. Especially chaga has been traditionally used cyclically.
How to store?
Our extracts have small amount of alcohol mixed to preserve and allow storing in room temperature.
Alcohol content is equal to one ripe banana per serving.
UV light protected glass packaging protects the integrity.
Shipping time?
We ship next day latest always.
Ultrasound extract method advantages, AI summary
1. Potency and Yield (Higher Concentration of Bioactive Compounds)
• Cell Wall Disruption: Mushroom cell walls are made of chitin, which is very tough and restricts the release of beneficial compounds like beta-glucans and triterpenes. Ultrasonic cavitation (the rapid formation and collapse of tiny bubbles) creates intense mechanical forces that effectively disrupt these cell walls, leading to a much more complete release of intracellular compounds into the solvent (water, alcohol, or a mix).
• Higher Yields: Multiple studies indicate that UAE significantly increases the extraction yield of key bioactive compounds (like polysaccharides, beta-glucans, triterpenoids, and antioxidants) compared to hot water extraction (HWE) or traditional maceration. In some cases, the extract profile shows a significantly higher concentration of desired compounds.
• Preservation of Quality: Since UAE is a non-thermal or low-temperature process, it can reduce the thermal degradation of heat-sensitive compounds that might be damaged during prolonged high-heat traditional hot water extraction.
• Enhanced Activity: Research has shown that some ultrasonically extracted compounds, like beta-glucans, can exhibit higher antioxidant activity and better structural properties (like molecular weight and branching) compared to those produced by conventional methods, which contributes to higher overall "potency."
2. Bioavailability
• Compound Release: The primary advantage for bioavailability comes from the efficient release of compounds from the tough chitin matrix. Many of these compounds would otherwise remain locked within the mushroom material and pass through the human digestive system largely "untapped." UAE essentially "unlocks" them.
• Fuller Spectrum: By using water or water/ethanol mixtures under ultrasonic assistance, it's often possible to achieve a more "full-spectrum" extract, isolating both water-soluble components (like beta-glucans) and non-water-soluble or semi-soluble components (like triterpenes) efficiently, which can contribute to overall therapeutic benefit.
